Research Interests:

Dr. Desroches uses EEG/ERP and cognitive behavioural tasks to examine the development of reading and language. In the recent past, honours students working with Dr. Desroches have worked on projects related to spoken word and/or written word recognition in monolingual and bilingual children and adults. She also has ongoing collaborations that examine the role of reading ability in legal decision making, the role of visual attention processing during reading development, emotion processing and aging, and how reading and math abilities co-develop.
